One Note is a Digital Notebook that provides a single location for all the notes and information, in other words, everything you need to remember in order to manage your personal, professional and academic life.  Using OneNote you will never be left out of paper! It is easy to rearrange, print and share them and they have the ability to quickly search, so you can recall anything immediately.  Additionally, a very useful thing is that you can save your Notebooks on the Internet and access them at any time. OneNote is available as part of the Microsoft Office Programs  though it is also available as a free autonomous application for Windows, Mac,Windows RT, Windows Phone, iOS and Android.  A web-based version of OneNote is provided as part of the Office Online allowing users to edit their notes through web browser.

Purpose
OneNote is designed for note taking, brainstorming, research, searching, collaboration, collecting random bits of information — basically everything you've ever tried to do in notepads, sticky notes, to-do lists, and maybe even white boards. You'll find it all much easier to do with OneNote, and will be able to keep all your information in one easy-to-manage location.

And with OneNote 2007, you can integrate your notes with other Office programs. For example, set tasks in Outlook from within OneNote or send your notes from OneNote to Word.
