02. Design and Development of E-Learning Platform

A web based e-learning platform will be designed and implemented. In addition to the content that will be uploaded on this platform, the web
based platform will enable the following activities:
1. Use of the platform for learning with the aid of methodological tools mentioned in wp1 (movies, music, pictures imagination, exercises eg
multiple choice, completion of sentences, design of questions etc
2. Chatting/discussions ( in writing) facility between two or more project participants and printing of these discussions
3. Incorporation of an assessment tool that will run through the elearning platform and will automatically assess the performance of
participants.
It should be noted that the elearning platform will adopt the philosophy of the 4-level pyramid ie LANGUAGE-NEEDS-THEMATIC SECTIONSMETHODOLOGICAL
TOOLS. Although only two type of needs will be used during the SLTOOL project the platform must be structured in such
a way as to allow us to adjust it to any needs just by uploading the need, thematic sections and methodological tools.
The development of the platform will be performed in the following phases:
1. Composition of a detailed specifications document that will present the requirements
2. Design and development of the elearning platform
3. Upload of the content for three used groups
4. Testing of the content
The design and development of the content of the assessment is also included in this wp. The following phases will be used:
1. Development of the content of the assessment
2. Development of electronic assessment
3. Embed the electronic assessment on the elearning platform.
