IO3-CoViR e-learning platform strengthening teachers competences in the use of VR

The main objective of the e learning platform is two fold. On one hand it will be used to train the trainers on several VR issues including the following:
-What Virtual Reality stands for
-Main Steps in the History of VR Virtual Reality Applications
-Advantages of VR
-VR Head Mounted Devices
-Main Parts of VR Headsets
-Challenges I
-interaction in VR
-VR limitations
-Differences and similarities between Virtual Reality, Αugmented Reality and Mixed Reality


On the other hand the platform aims to train the trainers on the use of the COVIR platform as well as how to develop a new course based on the COVIR platform. In other words during the online session trainers will learn about the toolsbeing offered and how one can create a VR session using pre-selected content. In other words one will need to develop sessions
and many sessions will build a course.


The e-learning platform will be built on Moodle with SCORM technology and will include interactive content. The course will be structured in modules with each of the modules having its own learning outcomes. Each module will include:
1. Powerpoint presentations that are accompanied by small videos with lecturer where the lecturer actually speaks and explains the content of the ppt and demonstrates if necessary
the use of the VR, simulations, the setup and so on
2. Chat and forum tools for asynchronous learning
3.Quizes to validate learning (Kirkpatrick Learning Evaluation)
4. Bibliography
5. Kirkpatrick Reaction Evaluation
6. Glossary
