Type: European Projects News
Project: INMATOUR

Representatives from Rinova Ltd (UK), MMC (CY), Dimitra (GR) and DOCUMENTA (ES) as promoter of the project, participated past September 17th and 18th in the second transnational meeting of INMATOUR project; a project that has as main objective the design and testing of a new training curriculum to deepen and enable the efficient and sustainable management, innovation and marketing of tourist destinations at European level.

During those days the partners shared and exchanged opinions on the 5 training areas which are part of the curriculum (creativity, Sustainability, ITC, Governance and Territorial Social Responsibility), apart from the training package and annexes with training tools and methodologies which will facilitate the trainers when providing such training.

Final curriculum will be available in December and corresponding training package includes both in-class and on-line learning with the aim of also facilitating lifelong learning for working professionals from the tourism sector in Europe.

The partners also worked and debated the design of the project website (available soon), the online training platform or upcoming national events each partner has to develop in their own country, among other issues.

The meeting was intense and successful thanks to the active participation and contributions of all entities, which will allow us all to move forward firmly in developing the project INMATOUR. Next meeting will be hold in Cyprus in January 2016 where we will test the curriculum and training packages of the 5 areas defined by the partnership.
