Project: Skills Swap - Supporting the hospitality sector through international co-operation

After completing the 1st Intellectual Output we have started the 2nd Intellectual OutputI-VET practitioners' role specification and competency matrix: Skill Swap Co-ordinator of the Project. Folkuniversitetet and Rinova identified 8 key comperences for the Skills Swap Coordinators which are:


1. Engagement with companies to promote hospitality skills swaps as WBL concept.
2. (Acquiring) familiarity with practical and financial/legislative implications of the skill swap activity.
3. Methodology of identifying main skills gaps and the need for swapping
4. Training and preparation of the employers concerning skills swapping
5. Training and preparation of the employees/apprentices concerning skills swapping
6. ‘Matching’ enterprises with learners and selecting Skills Swap time period.  
7. The CoC/Memorandum of Understanding to set out all of the relevant arrangements and provisions.
8. Monitoring, review and follow up of  skills swap progress and completion with the involved parties


The partners worked in groups and each group was assigned a specific competency to work on. EDITC worked on three competences. After  each partner prepared their assigned competency they discussed these competencies on the online meeting on the 16th of September 2021. The partners will  soon provided their feedback for the competences. The Competency Matrix will be finalised by the end  of October 2021.
